Plainly is developed and operated by Puredata OÜ, a company registered in Estonia, European Union. As an EU-registered company we are subject to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Plainly is designed to work locally on your device without requiring an account. If you choose to enable cloud sync (a paid feature), we collect the minimum data necessary to provide it:
Free users who do not create an account have all their data stored locally on their device only. We have no access to it.
Cloud data for synced accounts is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted by Supabase in Frankfurt, Germany (EU). Data is encrypted in transit using TLS. We apply row-level security so that each user's data is accessible only to them.
Your account data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data is deleted from our servers within 30 days.
As a data subject under GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, or erase your personal data, to restrict or object to processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below.
