Data hosted in the EU
Plainly is an internal, personal product. Only members of one family, invited by Puredata OÜ, can install it, through a closed Google Play testing track. There is no public download, sign-up or price.
When the family connects a bank account, Plainly gets read-only access to that account's balance and transactions through Enable Banking, a licensed account information service provider. Plainly can never make payments or move money.
What it does
- BudgetsMonthly budgets by category, and what's still safe to spend.
- TransactionsEvery payment in one place, searchable by month, category or account.
- Goals and billsSavings goals, and the recurring bills coming up next.
- HouseholdShared accounts, budgets and goals between family members.
- Bank syncNew payments from the family's own bank accounts, brought in automatically and read-only.
- App lockA PIN or fingerprint in front of the app; data encrypted on the phone.
How Plainly treats your data
- Everything lives first in an encrypted database on your phone. Without an account, nothing leaves it.
- With an account, a copy syncs to our database in Frankfurt (EU), so the family's phones stay in step. Only you, and the household members you share with, can read it.
- No ads, no analytics, no tracking, and we never sell or share data with anyone outside the processors named in the privacy policy.
