Terms of Use

Effective 4 October 2026  ·  Provider: Puredata OÜ, Estonia

In short. Plainly is a free, private app for one family. Use it for your own money only. The bank connection is read-only and you can end it at any time. Plainly helps you keep track of your finances; it is not financial advice, and your bank's own records always come first.

1. About these terms

These terms apply to Plainly, the Android app and the online services behind it, provided by Puredata OÜ, a company registered in Estonia ("we", "us"). By installing or using Plainly you agree to them. How we handle your data is described in the Plainly Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms.

2. Who may use Plainly

Plainly is a private, non-commercial app. Only people we invite personally — members of one family — may use it. It is not offered to the public, and invitations cannot be passed on. Children may use Plainly only with a parent's permission, and only adults may connect a bank account. We may end an invitation or access at any time.

3. No fee

Plainly is free. There are no subscriptions, purchases or ads.

4. Using Plainly

5. Bank connection

6. Not financial advice

Plainly helps you organise and understand your own money. It does not give financial, tax, investment or legal advice. Balances, categories, budgets and forecasts in Plainly may be incomplete or out of date; always check important figures against your bank's own records before making decisions.

7. Your data

Your data is yours. You give us only the permission we need to store, sync and show it to you and to the household members you share it with. You can export your data at any time (Profile → Export My Data) and ask us to delete your account (puredata.ee/delete-account).

8. Changes and availability

Plainly is a personal project and is provided "as is" and "as available". We may change, pause or stop Plainly or any of its features, including the bank connection. If we plan to stop Plainly altogether, we will tell users in advance where we reasonably can, so you can export your data first.

9. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Puredata OÜ is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss caused by inaccurate or missing data, by your bank or Enable Banking, or by unauthorised use of your phone or account. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, such as liability for intent or gross negligence, or your rights as a consumer.

10. Ending use

You can stop using Plainly at any time: disconnect your bank, uninstall the app and, if you want, ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or if Plainly is discontinued.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will update the effective date above and tell users in the app about material changes before they take effect. If you do not agree, you can stop using Plainly.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Estonia. Disputes are resolved by the courts of Estonia, without affecting any mandatory consumer protection rights you have in your country of residence.
